Dr. Ruth Reisman, AuD MBA CCC-A F-AAA, is a native Brooklynite and a mother of 3 boys. She currently is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in New York State. She holds certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Reisman lead the Audiology department at Lenox Hill Hospital for nearly a decade! She is also an associate professor for the CUNY Graduate Center and Touro College in their Audiology and Communication Departments. She has been recognized as the first audiologist to successfully fit the new Maxum Middle Ear Implant in the tri-state area and the first in the country to successfully fit a Cochlear Bone Anchored Hearing Aid device with the magnetic attract implant system.

Her experience in the evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders is wide- ranged. Dr. Reisman's research and methods in the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders in some of the most challenging cases has been awarded and recognized within the field of Audiology. Given her experience she now supports professionals in the fitting of hearing implant devices for hospitals throughout NYC. In her private practice she offers auditory processing evaluations and rehabilitation to children and adults with communication challenges specializing in those with ADD/ADHD. With the use of the latest methods and technology in hearing rehabilitation available today, Dr. Reisman is able to significantly improve communication skills and the quality of life in the hearing impaired population. She is dedicated to increasing awareness on the preservation and improvement of hearing and balance health.
